When you read the phrase ” Body Pod ” do you get a mental image of a 1950’s science fiction monster movie? Soggy aliens emerging from giant ears of corn? No? You must start watching more overnight television.

Or making it. We have just taken delivery of a Glide Cam Body Pod to assist the active videographer. It would appear to be a shoulder and belt mount that is designed to take the weight of a full-size large video rig and distribute it not only to the shoulders but to the waist – reducing pressure in all areas and allowing the shooter to make long unbroken sequences.

It is particularly suited to the Glidecan 2000Pro or 4000Pro stabilizers but may be adaptable to many others. In any case the smoothness of operation should be far superior to that obtainable with a handhold alone.
