Archive Prints Digitally with Haldex PrintScan

Customers come in all shapes, sizes, sexes, and ages but they all have one thing in common. They all have a shoebox full of old 6” x 4” postcard prints sitting on a shelf in the hall closet. These postcard prints hold the history of their family and of their childhood – precious images that can never be replaced. It is the way of the world that one day these prints will be lost – faded through chemical action, eaten by mould or white ants, or removed by hostile relatives.

Before this happens the astute photographer can take action and copy all the prints onto their computer and burn safe copies. Good for the expert, but what about the average person – scanners can be daunting things. Haldex have come up with the answer.

Haldex PrintScan is the go. These are a very simple desktop scanner designed exclusively for the 6” x 4” postcard print. You feed the prints in the front, they pass through a roller, and the resultant picture comes up on a little screen on the front. You can flip it left/right and up/down and when you approve, one click fires it into your computer or onto a small SD card in the top of the scanner – Heck, you can sit at the kitchen table and do this without having to go near the computer.

It is an ideal Christmas present for yourself or your old relatives – they can preserve the memories without using up your computer and hobby time. You couldn’t buy better peace of mind for $ 129 anywhere.
