I'm A Sucker For Cullmann...

I suppose I should apologise for that header but copy writers have a life too, and sometimes we cannot help ourselves. In any case, it is appropriate for the equipment shown.

The Cullmann Saugstativ CS33 is a suction pod camera support with a medium - sized ball head on the top of it. You select a flat smooth surface to stick it to, push the cup on and swing the side lever down. It vacuums itself to the surface with enough force to support a reasonable-sized camera. You should have no difficulty with mirror-less and compact types and even some of the small DSLRs would be secure.

Tilt and tighten with the ballhead as normal. The whole rig could attach a camera to a car body or a window quite easily and I can see it being used to support small handy-cam video recorders as well.

Now this is another belter of a product from Cullmann - the BeltPod Quick-set is a waist support system for DSLRs that uses the Cullmann CX470 quick-release plate - the one that they have on their tripods. It will support 4Kg and has a removable soft pad at the lens end to cushion the barrel of a zoom lens.

Great for hands-free carriage of your camera and quick access to it - this might be a good thing for hikers or wedding photographers. Wedding hikers will be particularly pleased...
